forgot to ask a mat question- i know that not many have installed these yet, but for anyone who has: do we really need to velcro the mat? i assume that the velcro is to keep the mat from sliding around, but cant imagine that it will slide much as it appears to be cut to fit-
any thoughts about not using the velcro?

I don't have a MuzMat, but a homemade one of my own. I had placed Velcro on it, but later discovered that it really isn't necessary. You are right, if it fits well, you don't need velcro.

Also, the velcro doesn't stick so well anyway to the plastic boot well.

I just got mine this morning via FED-EX. It looks great and feels so soft. I can't wait to put it in. I am hoping to get my rear window replaced soon and have no more scratches.

I would use the velcro tabs unless you have some other method of fastening. I find that while my mat sits pretty tight it is still possible to make it slide. What you don't want is anything impeding the action of the roof mechanism ..eg; if the mat were to slide over the indentations in the well.

Believe me ...the velcro _will_ stick provided you prep the well by cleaning the areas that the velcro needs to adhere to.

The first time I installed my protoype mat I couldn't get the velcro to stick due to the fact that the well area had been treated with a conditioner.

What about using a piece of sticky mat under the MuzMat (under padding?) instead of the velcro? I think I'll try that first. I've got an extra piece laying around
