Default MUZ MAT ?'S

I was just curious. Does the muz mat go on the outside to protect the plastic window or does it go on the inside? To me it looks like the window would be scratched more on the outside but the muz mat looks like it is shped for the inside area where the top folds into.

The Muz Mat lays in the rear well and protects the plastic window from rubbing the plastic of the well. If you are worried about exterior scratches, place a towel in the window fold as you are bringing the top down.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but how do the Muz mats keep from sliding around if the top is up? I'd hate to have to adjust it everytime I want to put the top down.

As others have stated the vast majority of damage to the rear plastic window occurs on the inside due to it contacting the interior of the roof well when the roof is down.

The outside of the window incurs very little damage naturally.

One extra thing that you can do while keeping the top down is use the Muz wrinkle preventing tube as well as the mat. This is a soft tube that you place inside the window where it folds to keep any creasing to a minimum. I use the window mat and tube during long periods of keeping my top down and my window is in excellent condition.
