Mugen Style Aluminum Hard Top

Mugen Style Aluminum Hard Top
A mate of mine is a race car/hot rod/rebuilds/vintage car fabricator and we got talking about doing a Mugen Style Hard Top in aluminum. The prototype would be my exchange others would be open for fabrication. Just throwing this out for feedback as we are looking at maybe slight changes and modification as well. Like for example flattening out the rear window recess in order that a flat (not curved) glass rear window can be easily fitted through a auto glass cutting/fitting shop anywhere in the world.
Talks so far have revealed that the key points of dimensions will remain the same as the Mugen Style HT, but anything else can be adapted and modified, even possible second side rear window or race style vents to eliminate blind spot.
Would appreciate any feedback from the S2k community as we are still at the design stage. Photoshop ideas/ input would be great as well.
thanks in advance..

yeh we have discussed the weight vs strength factor, not to compromise either.
The rebuilds that he has got going right now are a 50's FJ Holden van and a 60's EH Holden as well. Holden is Australian like GM.

My feedback is that Honda stopped building the S2000. It doesn't seem like a good idea to just now get started doing this.
What I mean to say is that as long as there are customers they'll be after market production, long after actual production of the model ceases.
Maybe others may have input here, imo right now the S 2000 is still not a fad car, so can't see anything else coming along that will have me/us drop my/our S for.
