Mugen Stroker Kit

Mugen Stroker Kit
I was reading R&T and they talked about mugen possibly releasing a stroker engine for the S2000, but that it may not make it to the US. So my question...for anyone in the know is:
1) Is it real?
2) How much?
3) When?
4) Est. Performance gains...or real numbers if available?
5) Will it be available for the US?
This kit sounds cool. Take the S2000, make it 2.2 liters by lengthing the stroke. Adds HP, Torque and makes both peaks come on earlier, with the same redline!!

It is my understanding that only three cars with this kit currently exist and one is on static display.
Our recent tour to Mugen/Japan was quite enlightening as their lead engineer on the S2000 project responded to just such a question from us as his personal car is one of the other two in existance. He said that it was highly unlikely that this kit would see the light of day as it would be way beyond what most consumers would pay. He made mention of the camshaft alone being a $5K part at cost.
Perhaps Scott@Kingmotorsorts has some more insight.

There was an article in road and track, with a Miata Mono Posto on the cover. There was a drive of the Mugen S2200 in there. As I recall, I wasn't that impressed with the numbers on paper, but the Driver, Sam Mitani I believe, was ecstatic about the drivablilty of the car. When I dig out the magazine I'll post the good bits, Its in the can somwhere, so give me some time

Sorry I lied,
The SS2200 is on the cover.
The displacement was raised to 2190 cc
Puts out
258 HP @ 8300 RPM
162 lb-ft @ 7200 RPM
and this car weighed in at 2100 Lbs
and did a 0-60 in 5 sec.
and 1/4 mile in 13.5
I think it would be much faster though

Rob, I'm about 99 44/100th's sure that King does NOT have the 2.2 liter motor. There are only three that I know about. Takashi Uno (the lead S2000 Mugen engineer that we met in Tokyo) has one of them in his personal car. The other two I'm not EXACTLY sure where they are, but unless Scott has a big BIG secret, the other two are still at Mugen...
And yes, the CRANK shaft was 5000 dollars, not the CAM shaft...
