Really I have seen many J's intakes installed only a few had scratches from coming in contact with the hood (though some were running pre cut CF hoods) The only downside with J's I can think of is the front scoop on the snorkal is so large that lots of rocks and pebbles and debri get up into the intake near the filter

I went with the eautosports CF cold air intake and I have had no debri in the top section of the intake

Neither intake should show much if anything on a dyno (note: Shop fans dont simulate driving conditions ) these are ram air intakes and do not show gains when the car is standing still. I would recommend the intake from E-autosports (available in group by section under CF cold air intake ) it is very similiar to the Mugen peice, but its about 1000.00 dollars cheaper , I have it on my car and absolutely it! There is also one for sale in the so cal forums.

To everyone saying its just bling, it makes no power, etc.. etc.. Have any of you used it??? Or are you just making things up based on your on theory of what intakes work and which ones dont?

I do agree with you in the stop and go traffic, but as far as moving, I think it gives a nice kick in the pants. I guess butt dynoes aren't a very reliable source of hp measure... hehe.

Either way, an AUT Cooling Plate could help as well.

I should just get a mugen cf hood and intake so I don't have to worry about cutting anything
