Default Mugen Intake

Hey, I just wanted to know what a Mugen Intake sounded like. Does it sound like CAI? Anyone have a clip or something?

And is it pretty easy to install yourself?

I have not heard it first hand, but from what everyone I talked to said it slightly louder than stock.
You can install it yourself, but it requires a piece of the hood to be cut in order for it to close.

Nope, J's requires a cut of the hood as well.

A popular choice is the K&N FIPK along with the AUT cooling plate. Seems to work well and it not that $$.

the mugen intake is slightly louder than stock. Throaty but nothing like a cai. Which i like because it doesnt grab alot of attention like my aem did. That means i can vtec the car on public roads without every cop on the block perking up to see whats racing down the street.

The midrange power is definilty improved, especially pre-vtec. High end hp is the same if not mildy improved. Oh yes, and NO heatsoak! BIG plus.
