I am about 4 weeks from taking delivery of my 2001 S2000. I went into my dealer yesterday and told them I needed to know what was changing on the S2000 for MY 2002. Of course they don

How much is a discount worth to you...really? I say, purchase now while you still have color choices. The invoice on the '01 is 29,172.88, MSRP is 32,740, how much do you really expect them to discount a car that has the same markup as a V6 Accord? FACT: This car is worth every penny of 32,740 and then some, buy the damn car...lol.

Dave where are the S2K's sitting? I am looking for a Yellow one and I will gladly pay $32,740. I am having trouble finding the color I want. I did find a dealer that said if I dont mind waiting until maybe July while he ordered one, he would give it to me for $32,000. I dont want to wait. I'll pay the extra $740 to get one today or yesterday.

Are you willing to make a roadtrip to get this new baby? There is a Honda dealer in Christiansburg, VA who had an MSRP yellow last week. If I had seen you mention this two or three weeks ago, I could have directed you to one several hundred under MSRP... and half the drive. My wife wouldn't let me buy it, she hates the color. So, I'm having the same problem finding the right color, but I keep finding Yellow ones!

Anyway, if you're willing to go that far, you want to talk to Dave Snyder. You can find his E-Mail address at https://www.s2ki.com/dealerships/ along with a list of dealers who are supposed to sell at MSRP. Most of these that I've contacted actually are at MSRP, but one, LaPointe Honda in Charlotte, was WAY over, so there may be others who really want more.

Dave,

We're in very similar situations. I ordered my 01 W/R on April 27 & will be taking delivery 7/31. Car should arrive sometime in July but waiting till 7/31 as current lease matures 8/5. As soon as I get the VIN I'm getting it to Utah S2K as he says he can predict within two days when it'll hit my dealer. All colors look great, ours just happens to be more rare.
