The Most Expensive Cars to Ensure The S2000
The most expensive cars to insure are:
1. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
2. Mercedes CL-Class
3. Dodge SRT-4
4. Subaru Impreza WRX
5. Jaguar XK
6. Lexus IS 300
7. Honda S2000 <---- lucky #7
8. Acura RSX
9. Nissan 350Z
10. Jaguar XJ
Owning one of these cars is bad news for your monthly insurance bill. But there's a bright side: none of these cars makes the top 10 most stolen cars list.

just some intersting facts i stumbled upon. Excuse me if something like this has all ready bin mentioned. Btw what makes the s2000 so expensive to insure?.. the design, technology, or is it just alot if idiots totaling their s2k making it a drag for us.

Go with number three - the older S2000s seem to be inexpensive enough now that younger buyers are getting them and driving them right into walls or something. Also, I think less people have them as second cars now, so there are more DDs getting beat up in traffic and such.

I think thats BS. My S is more expensive to insure than my old 05 STi, but less than my wifes old 01 TL. Her 06 Rav4 is just as expensive as my S is. It depends on where you live and your record really IMO.

Wierd going from the list you provided. I called my insurance to get a quote on an 04 evo and it was $90 cheaper a month than my s2k. I was very surprised But yes the s2k is def one of the more expensive cars to insure that ive owned. Almost double what i was paying for my 05 srt4

Under $35k new, RWD, 240hp, manual, 9k redline, 2-seater with no traction control for the first ~6 years... is it really that big of a mystery?

couldn't agree more with the evo being #1. if you ever go on evolutionm.net, every 3rd post is some idiot starting a new "so i crashed my evo tonight" thread.
btw, this list that you provided is about a year old.
