Sad, this may have been prevented altogether or at least possibly ended differently had these teens heeded the education and guidance afforded to them by their parents and schools - for example - seatbelt usage. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends.

I'm with killer - there are some teens out that behave responsibly and a broad sterotype is not fair.

Inexperience certainly affects a teen's reaction in an emergency situation and sure, many drive stupidly but there are just as many non-teens using phones, reading, applying make-up, and taking out their frustrations with their kids, spouses, boss on those around them on the road by tailgating, flipping people off, etc.

Oh that's terrible news. He seems like such a nice kid from what I can surmise in the article. A damn shame, and so young too. RIP.

I am very heartbroken to hear that. He was just a kid at 19. Sometimes having a fast and fun car is not worth it. You have to try to put limits on your teens.

I am only 22 and no old man by any means. By I had a 1998 Accord coupe at that ageand considered myself to be mature. But my lack of experience got the best of me and I crashed while making a stupid U-Turn. Probably wouldnt be here if I wasn't wearing my seat belt. The car was not repairable.

I know the crash tests are good for an S2k. But it still scared me to sit in one. Im sure its safe but that is one of the reasons I bought another car (350Z)
Because to be honest the S2000 was a much more exhilirating test drive.

Yes, this is sad to hear. Not all Teens are responsable to operate a high powered RWD vehicle, no mater what it is. S2000, Porsche, BMW, MR2...it dont matter. If you have it, treat it with respect, and it will respect you.
