Some of these guys really don't like us! There's even a few S2K guys to the rescue. It's a pretty interesting thread, I try to follow the huge RX7 board sometimes.

What is an FD?

 

After reading some of the crap on that board...f@#$ing d!@&heads...

We have a few obnoxious poeple in here, but I can't believe some of the rude, close minded bull in there.

 

I was going to post since someone mentioned my turbo anyway but they must have the slowest server ever so I decided against it. I had a 93 RX-7 which was an awesome car but definitely had some reliability issues. After about 20 various hoses and the second set of apex seals I decided to sell it. I still miss it, it was a fun car to drive but it's no S. They are relatively easy to make super fast but so what if it's always broken.

 

I must be REALLY bored...I made it through that entire thread!



Overall there were some bright spots, but some real tools, as well. Seems like just a bunch of punk street racing kids...but that would be generalizing as bad as some of those guys were.

Does the F and D actually stand for words or is it some kind of call letters?

Is the RX7 THAT fast? I mean the way these guys are talking an S2000 would have zero chance against whatever these FD's are.

Are these mazdas heavily modified going against stock S2k's?

They seem to think at least from what I read that the S2K is just slow.

I'm confused

 

3rd Gen's are fast as balls and they respond really well to simple modifications...like downpipes that add a nice couple of dozen ponies.

I have admired those cars since my first ride in one about 8 years ago. Badass machine...

Is the stock 3rd Gen THAT much faster? It's a faster car, but a poorly driven 7 against a well driven S2000 should be pretty evenly matched...stock for stock. But even still, in most scenarios, the 7 is going to be faster, by a huge margin? Nah...but faster? Most likely...

Some of these guys are saying that they blew an S2000 so hard that it was a mere dot in the rear view mirror. That is just a bunch of testosterone talking and it makes me wonder if the guy in the S2000 was actually racing...
