Default More HP by just changing your fluids?

Last weekend while watching Horsepower TV (I think that's what they call it) They did a test to determine if you can increase your HP by just changing out your libricants.

The logic would be to regain the hp lose due to friction.

The test vehicle was a Camaro LS1. The choice of lubricants was Royal Purple (Their sponsor).
I don't know what the baseline was but the end result was an increase of 8hp.

Anyone try changing their fluids and noticed a difference?

seems after i change the oil it revs free...er...then again some days it runs better than others anyway. 8 hp in a 350 hp v8 is less than 4 hp in our cars.

Don't forget the chrome hubcaps, i'm guessing they're good for 10 hp each!

Nope, no HP gain there but the wind tunnel tested design does reduce the drag coefficient which helps it "slice" though the wind.

And don't be confused about the front quarter panel... those aren't dents made by hoodilums. Thats what happens when you have a monster APC intake (hence the sticker) and not enough air to supply it.

... shes a monster.
