If any of your minds work the way mine does, the day I drove my S2000 off the lot I was already thinking of me next car ! So, I've thought about this day coming in the years ahead and pretty much have nailed it down to the M3 or even the S4. But tell me please, must I limit myself to these two cars or are there classy alternatives out there? My brother can't let go of the notion that the Skyline (he is telling me to get that, but I know what it will cost and frankly is out of my league) can be modded to be the fastest car out there but there must be others. I want my next car to be very classy (nice interior) two doors probably, as four doors are usually mistaken for family cars and one hell of a performance package. As far as looks I would like it to look mean or aggressive

Please help me in my quest to find my next car. Of course the down side is that by then there might be other contenders out there but this can at least steer me in the right direction.

My friend`s S4 is as "classy" as the next ride but also does 12.10 in the 1320. Awesome car!

 

The Pontiac Aztek looks pretty mean and aggressive. Get it twin turbocharged, lowered, 18 inch wheels, skirts etc

Should be a hell of a performance package!

E46 M3 is good as well ...

 

E46 kills s4 in every aspect of the game.

I also heard the newly designed s4 will be out in couple of years so if u are interested in a s4, wait a few years.

 

I am definetely waiting at least a couple of years, I just got my S in August and the car is not even completely broken in yet. But the car that I am aiming for is the E46, and I would not go so far as to say that it's untouchable for the money but what else is out there? Classy looks, awesome performace, etc., etc. I know, I know you can always mod some cheaper cars and spank some of the lux performance cars but like one of the members on this board has said in his signature, " a turd with a wing is still a turd" or something along those lines. That is exactly how I feel about that !

My Ex's brother-in-law in Redmond bought a black M3 convertible a couple of months ago. Don't worry guys I found me another hottie with blonde hair and green eyes. I considered the S4 when I bought my S2000. I'm single with no kids and I have a Durango so I didn't need the extra doors on a sporty car. The new S4 that is coming out soon and it should be pretty awesome. The Mercedes C32 is a nice car too. There are a lot of upgrades available for the Audi and BMW. I like the S4 because its stealthy and people think its an A4 but my goal is to someday own a Mercedes. Also with Audi's engineering in their Le Mans race cars I am impressed at how they are turning the company around. There is a place here in Virginia called Autothority that makes custom performance chips for the E46 and S4. You can visit their website at http://www.autothority.com I think I remember they had a chip that helps the S4 reach 60mph at around 4.3 to 4.8 seconds. Also check out http://www.audiworld.com for other upgrades. Someone makes a cold air intake for the S4 but I can't remember the company.

 

s2k4ever, takashi, bruin, voodoo & bernie - thanks for all the input. i really appreciate it. it just keeps coming back to the s4 or e46 though, which I don't mind of course.

As far as performance goes, could someone whip up the stats on the 2 cars - please ?
