It's been a long time since I've had the Voodoo knob on so I can't remember what the '00 stock knob was like. You say that the "shot" is 2" lower in height than the stock knob but how much lower is it from the Voodoo knob?
How is it attached? Is it threaded or are there set screws?
How much bigger around is this knob compared to the Voodoo?

The Momo Shot is basically a more ritzy version of their King model. It is actually quite heavy and about as large as the Team Voodoo magnum, since it is significantly larger than the regular Voodoo offering. The knob is attached to the stem with screws which are set into the rubber inserts, but to get the knob as low as possible on the stem without unnecessary movement, I simply decided NOT to use the silver base that has the Momo logo on it. That allowed the knob to be pushed down and screwed in about a 1/4-inch more than had I used the base. If you use the proper rubber insert only, the top end of the S2000 shifter lever won't go all the way up into the knob so I jammed the proper insert in there first (as far up into the knob as possible, which essentially meant all the way to the top) and then placed the next largest sized insert over the lever and forced the Momo knob down upon it. By actually SCREWING the knob around the insert, it worked the S2000 shifter lever all the way into the cavity of the Momo knob and thus I created a shorter than OEM throw by maximizing the cavity within the Momo. I then finished inserting the screws and voila! BTW, I've noticed a side effect of the shifter's constant shaking...it rattles loose the screws on the top of the knob so about once/week, I use the hex wrench and tighten 'em up. The knob is silver carbon fiber which should be a nice match for my silver carbon fiber dash I custom ordered from one of our sponsors. I would say compared to the countersunk Team Voodoo knob, this Momo is about even with that one for reduced height. It does however, weigh considerably more. BTW, I removed the quarter from the knob and inserted LEAD TAPE (check any golf shop for that) which for the same size area, created about 3x as much weight. I've got to have the heaviest S2K shift knob on the planet now! The action now is smoother than a baby's bottom! I can't imagine improving on it any further. As is, I can rest my forearm on the console and the knob sits perfectly even with my hand. I don't even have to lift my forearm to shift. I had the TV knob and it's a nice effort but wasn't quite flashy enough for me nor heavy. Their Ti knob should help in the weight department though and I've seen those with S2000 etched into it which helps but I'm a carbon fiber guy so the Shot, while expensive, really sets off the interior which frankly speaking, needs a bit of anti-blue just to spark up the monotone scheme.

nice... i like it i was thinking about getting that knob. im still trying to find the veilside knob. it still has the shift pattern on the top, and it looks just like the greddy knob. the veilside and greedy knob look and feel great too.

Granted that knob does look good, but that's too high a price to pay for something that will end up in pieces on the floor at a critical moment IMHO.

Lude...you're overreacting big time. The knob's screws which connect the carbon fiber to the silver base don't all come flying off along with the carbon fiber piece. One screw might be jiggling free every so often so I tighten it up. They don't all get loose simultaneously. As a matter of fact, the reason one or two probably get loose in the first place is because I didn't want to overtighten them since I had placed some lead tape under the carbon fiber piece. I'm sure if I go back and give the screws another full turn, everything will be fine. I drove the car for 1200 miles on a recent trip before modifying it with lead tape on the inside and everything was fine, no screws coming up so it's probably me just being overly cautious about setting them down tight enough. Also, the carbon fiber piece has a hollowed section which connects to the silver bottom so even without the screws in place, it's not going anywhere. To continue, you really can't compare this knob to the Team Voodoo with regards to construction since the Voodoo is a solid piece. This knob is TWO-PIECE. I will say this however, having now owned both. To me, the Momo blows the TV out of the water in both looks and feel. Kudos to the Voodoo's custom countersunk fit which gives it the edge from an attachment perspective, afterall....the Momo is a universal application but this Momo is larger and significantly heavier than the aluminum Voodoo. The spun one I had was quite light (especially when compared to the OEM '02 knob) and I was disappointed at its lack of weight and size. It was quite small and felt like a golf ball in my hands. Their magnum Ti knob addresses both of these areas and would have been a better choice but that TV offering costs MORE than this Momo and STILL is lighter, smaller and certainly (to me) nowhere near as nice looking. Others might prefer the understated elegance of plain titanium but it doesn't work for me. Hmmm, come to think of it, I should stop singing the praises of my Momo since I wouldn't want to see too many others with this same knob so I might as well come clean and admit those pesky screws come flying off every 10 minutes, especially during hard cornering!

Sorry to pull this thread out of retirement, but I thought someone here might know the answer to this question.
Looking at MOMO's website, it appears they offer two versions of many of their spherical shift knobs. They do a "normal version like this:
"Shot Silver"
...and an "S" version like this:
"Shot Silver S"
Obviously a difference in height. Can either one be used on an S2000, and if so, which is preferable? Russ mentioned not using the "silver base" in order to get the knob installed 1/4" lower on the shaft. Therefore I'm guessing he purchased the normal version, or maybe the "S" wasn't available back then? In any case, I'm curious if anyone has experience with both these variations.
