Mods - too many choices - what's your take
OK I am ready to start modifying my MY01 S2000. I don't care about bling but speed and handling are more important.
The first mod's I am planning include cold air intake and suspension improvements (x brace, tower brace, sway bar).
If you were doing this would these be your first priorities and then the tough part - which brand would you install and why? There are so many different CAI systems and varieties of X braces my head starts to spin. (will probably spin off when I read all the replies here)
Thanks for your input!

Mmm, a school of thought goes upgrade your driving capabilities first, then your brake set up.
So I'd probably start with the brakes. New lines, fluid, pads and discs. Depends on how hard you drive the car as to what you will need re pads and discs. Goodridge lines and Motul RBF600 brake fluid are good choices, as they will be happy with anything you care to chuck at them on a trackday as well as road use.
How much cash are you looking to splash? Because you can spend silly money on thinks like air intakes, GruppeM springs to mind. Or just go PRM. Mugen would be a nice compromise and there is always Js new intake which looks nice.
Ultimately what is it you want the car to do?

As far as money goes - I want good value for the money spent and don't want to get silly but my youngest has graduated college so I am flush with cash.

I wouldn't waste your money on the tower strut bar... it's more for looks than anything. As far as CAI, I'm have the v1 put on this weekend so I will let you know what I think of it

If speed is important, then don't waste your money on a CAI because it's not going to satisfy that need. Save up and go with a turbo or supercharger. If you don't want to go that route right now, then I say go with some 4.57's or 4.77's.

I would look at the 4.57's (dunno if they are made anymore). Then some sort of EMS (AEM or otherwise). Then intake, exhaust, and headers. For suspension, I would look at TEIN springs....good stuff from what I have heard.
