well comptech claims their exhuast adds at least 3hp! more then you'll probably get out of the others.. sorry don't know what mods would be nessasary for the SC.. my guess at least a racing clutch.

I have the supercharger. There are probably many mods that would improve performance but I doubt any are necessary. My car is completely stock other than the SC. I've had no problems.

jim liber: what kind of dyno results have you gotten with your s2000 and the comptech supercharger? were you able to shave at least a full second off the quarter mile? does it help with torque at low RPMs (a common issue with small 4 cylinders)? are you satisfied with the performance for what you paid for the kit?

For the performance and quality of the kit it's dirt cheap. If you look back on this site for the string Comptech Supercharger Dyno results I did post them. The car makes 290hp at the rear wheels and 178 lb ft of torque compared to 196 hp stock and 123 lb ft of torque. I am not a professional driver so 1/4 mile times and 0-60 have not been done. If anyone would like I'm happy to email the dyno results or you can look up the post.

Does Comptech insist that you use the included air filter? I imagine it's a performance filter, but I was wondering if another brand would yeild even better results.

The filter and airbox are included in the kit. It's a pretty simple foam cone filter so I imagine several would fit. I don't know if you would see and real performance improvements though.
