I've seen this ploy before. Notice that "best offer" is an option. The seller puts it up for a high asking price, but is willing to take much less for it. If he gets lucky, some moron pays they asking price. I bought a top box for my motorcycle in a similar auction. Offered half the asking price with a day left on the auction and it was accepted. That said, I wouldn't offer $500 for these seats!

I love how people use the word 'mint' these days. not just in this case either.
Title says 'MINT xxxxx'
but inside the add it says 'these xxx are mint with only a few scratches on this part and a dent on this part'
MINT means its flawless to me, not good condition. Sorry, a little off topic...
