Mid Life Crisis
I'm pretty sick of people saying my S2K is my mid life crisis car. I'm forty two years old, this isn't my first sports type car, although it is the best one I've owned. I keep telling people that my mid life crisis car is going to be a Porche GT2. I think it might take me another lifetime to have that amount to buy a GT2, so in the mean time, I'm enjoying MY01 and driving it like "I stole it".
I just think it's funny that if you own a sports car (at 42 with kids), everyone says it is a mid life crisis car.

i think that s2k's owner's average age is 22~50.
i know there is a owner who is under and over that, but mostly fall under that range.
i said 22 because unless your parents bought you s2k, you couldnt afford one yourself. "sometimes"
i said 22 because that is age you get out of college and start making money.

The implication is that having a mid-life crisis is a bad or irresponsible thing. I don't find anything negative about it. To me, there is a time, after you have concentrated on living life for a while, to sit back, evaluate the results, and refocus on the parts that were most important. Not all the old cruft you've accumulated is valuable, and new passions and enthusiasms give life a fresh significance.

I'm not going to comment on our post quoted here. I want to know where you got that S2000 avatar at the bottom of your message?
It's too cool!

Don't get me wrong, I laugh when people bring up the mid-life crisis, I'm just sick of hearing it because I think people make assumptions about you, thats what gets me..
I'm still a young guy, more life to live, many more cars to drive.
