This thread just makes me wish we had more Japanese peeps on the board. I'd love to see personal pics of the new Japanese colors (since the Honda press release photo's were ALL PhotoShopped).

Yes I agree, the plastic trim pieces for MY 2002 around the dash and center console are a dark grey and I believe (???) this is a slightly lighter color than the previous models, this dark grey is a start in the right direction.
I guess the best way to describe my thought was to think about the good old 2-tone red and black interior, now switch some of the stuff that was red into a dark grey, like door panel inserts and seats, keeping the carpet, the dash, the center console all in black, just something to break up all that black. This 2-tone black/grey would be very subtle and could have gone on all the black interiors so it would not have been some other variation that would have been figured out. IMHO.

Is anyone here other than me totally satisfied with their car in stock form (except for Rick's console cover which is the way the car should have been from the start)?

my only real gripe abut the interior is the leather material used on the seats - it should be better IMO - it's too vinyl-ish.
i love the leather used in german cars. i would have even paid a couple of bucks more if it were available as an option from the factory.
other than that - the interior is all business and i like it that way.
oh, and power recaros (a la Corrado) would have been nice
