Messed up BAD, got wheel and suspension damage
So I'm in the "spin-club" too now I was going to work early in the morning and it was raining hard, which is quite unusual for the Gulf.
After reading all the horror stories about the lack of wet traction with S-02s I drove carefully, however, when I got to about 2 mins away from the office I hit a left hand corner that was very wet. I'm not concentrating on driving at this stage as I'm already prepping myself for my first meeting.
Anyway, the back steps out to the left. Without thinking (duh) I let off the thottle... The poor S2000 snaps its back out further and I correct with steering, start catching it. I almost straighten it when I go wide into an center island.
Only the right rear wheel hits the curb, but it feels like a HARD blow. The car was sliding sideways and going forward at the same time so the wheel was hit at like a 45 degree angle. I was going maybe 25mph when I hit the curb.
Got out to see the damage. The edge of the rim was bent and worst of all it had gone from negative to positive camber. No other part of the car hit anything, but I'm quite worried. I'll hear from the workshop tomorrow and I'd like some opinions on what will have to be done (and how much $$$)
I know the reason for this (=driver stupidity) and I've sure learned a lesson.

ouch. Glad you're okay.
best case, you'll need a new rim and suspension parts (upper and lower arms, maybe the damper)
Worst case, you'll need the above along w/ a new wheel bearing, CV joints, brake rotor and line, and maybe even a new half-shaft.
Good luck!

I've seen a few cars like that at the dealership I use over the last couple of years... Typical damage is about $2,000 requiring new control arms and wheels plus labor. Hopefully, you did not damage any mounting points.
