Default Messed up 1st gear (maybe)

So lately, i've had this problem where my first gear would shoot out when i start driving because i do not fully engage it. None of my Gears seem to have this problem, but my first sort of has this thing where it clicks in twice. My problem is that if i quickly throw it in gear, it wont click in the second time, causing it not to be fully engaged, and shoots out when i take off. This happened quite a few times in the past couple of weeks. After it happens, 1st gear seems to stiffen up, but then gets back in its rhythm after a few normal shifts. This is just the beginning of the problem though. Last night, I launched my car a few times (nothing out of the ordinary that would result in a problem). When i was leaving to go home, my friend with a gt mustang launched it in my face, and i quickly launched it at about 3500rpm ( i didn't have time to get it up to 5 or 6K). My wheels didnt break loose, then as i shifted into 2nd, i missed it (i dunno how, it was my first time it ever happened), and i just drove away casually. When i came to a stop, i noticed my 1st gear was completely jammed. It was unable to be engaged. After i fiddled with it a little, it had the ability to be engaged, but it was not smooth at all, as if it was rusty and had no lubricant. When i would take it out of gear, it didnt have the same resistance as before and pop out, it sort of unwillingly slid out and felt tense the whole way. My 2nd gear was fine, as the rest of my gears were. I drove home and came to a complete stop to try and get 1st gear back into its rhythm. It got a little better, but it doesn't feel like it was before. I didn't drive it today yet, because i waxed it last night, and its all wet outside right now. So i'm just curious if anyone can shine some light on my little problem here.

Thanx

im guessing as you were going into second you grinded the shit outta 2nd. when going from first to second, use two fingers and bring it back, dont grab the knob and slam it into second, it will almost never go. i think you just gave your synchros a beating. and make sure you're not trying to punch it into first while going 20 mph...

I indeed grinded the hell out of 2nd, but it wasn't the first time that 2nd has been grinded. Will 1st gear eventually take its shape again?

Yeah if you havent driven the car in a day or so then youll be fine itll return to normal, but you might be slightly more susceptible to grinding. At least you know now and you can avoid it later.
