in the market for 04 GPW
I live in Boston and am in the market for an 04 GPW but really dislike the tan interior. I am waiting probably til 2005 to get one to see if there are any changes for the interior. But if not, does anybody know how hard or the steps needed to buy the car from Canada and bring it to the states? Thanx in advance

I doubt they'd change the color that dramatically for the '05 model year. Another option would be to find someone with the black/red who wants tan, but that'll be like outdragging a 911 TT, stock for stock.

S2000's here in Canada are almost $10,000CDN more than in the States, even with the exchange ($49,000CDN vs. $32,000US + our sales tax). If I were you, I'd either live with the tan interior (which I personally love) or get a Sebring...

thanks for the replies guys. i guess ill have to live with the tan interior. i think the most difficult part about switching with someone who has the bl/red is the center console and maybe the floor mats.

Well, I can certainly understand why you like the black/red interior. I think it would look great on the GPW but.........the main reason I went with the GPW was that tan interior. The fact that I "really" like the S2000 in white didnt hurt either!
One thing you'll not have to worry about with the tan interior is french frying your arse after parking the car in the sun with the top down. I've done it several times now and while it does warm up, they all do, it's not blistering when you get back in it again.
FWIW!

guess you are right hpark. tan looks more high class for some reason to me while the bl/red is sportier which is why it would be perfect for this car.
