I just saw the new 02 at the local honda dealearship.. The manufactured date was 9/01. My 01 has a 2/01 date of manufacture. Does anyone know what is the last date the 01 was manufacture? i heard from people that the 1-2 grind was fixed on latter models of 01. I am wondering since mine is 2/01 if this would be included.

 

I believe the 1-2 grind was fixed on late models of the oo model year. There is a vin number in the TSB.

 

so basically all earlier 00 models have the 1-2 grind?

 

No, but some of the tranny parts were upgraded during the 2000 model year production, so I guess you could say the earlier 2000 models are more susceptible to the grind.
