Default Majestic Honda online (small rant).

[rant]I was in search of a window (windshield) frame rubber seal ... so i asked people here on the board.... someone then directed me to Majestic....

I tried calling about 4 times to confirm I was ordering the right piece...i either called too late or got put on hold forever....so i ordered anyway......... the wrong part.... blaaa.

anyway...they charged me $4.95 for "handling" plus $4.92 for shipping...... the part was only $33.86....grand total $43.73 which it was for the wrong part....

so now when i attempt to return it.....I am out the $4.92, $4.95 shipping back $5 and potentially a 20% restocking fee??? (minimum I amout is $15.... just because I could not get someone to answer the phone to confirm the part #).

I guess shopping online sucks??? I could have just bought the right part from the local dealer and paid about the same price as Majestic due to the bullshit "handling" and the shipping.

Plus...their "RETAIL" prices are always inflated beyond what Bobby Rahal charges.???[/rant]

Maybe if you order an expensive part it is worth it.???

I agree the 'handling' fee is bogus but the SRP is not all that far off. Dealers charge what ever they choose for parts and the ones here in Dallas generally charge well over the retail listed on their site. I suggest you buy one of the cheap 'parts' CD's floating around.. they have clear diagrams and then you can order by real part number with more confidence.

Where is the Majestic Honda you are referring to? There is a Majestic Honda here in RI. Is it the same dealer?

I won't order from Majestic Honda anymore either. When ordering parts they would charge one price for shipping, and then another charge would be added to the order later (without my knowledge or consent) for handling. Not only that but sometimes I would choose 2nd day air, and it would still manage to come a week later. Luckilly I've always managed to order the correct part.

And yes, I believe they are from RI.

I just had them fax me a picture. FYI their pictures are much better for '02s than '01s.

I feel like a dumbshit, but that is exactly what happened..... somewhere it has a little "*" that states this is the total before shipping or something like that....... well i assumed that was the total......

blaaaaaa..

Now I need to return this wrong part, and I was just on hold as "caller 1" for over 15 minutes before I finally hung up.... what a shitty place.....

They are in Rhoad Island....

I just called my dealership and they said they would sell me that part for $200 instead of the Majestic $204 plus $5 plus $10 for shipping.....

If I cannot find a used one, I guess my dealer is the answer!
