Default Magnetic Oil Drain Plugs

Has anybody had any experience with these things?

Seems like a pretty good idea....captures little metal shavings that might escape the oil filter.

I have these in the oil pan and in the tranny drain. I have never seen anything stuck on the magnets at change time. BUT, I can tell everyone I've got Spoon magnetic drain plugs!

Haha, well that may be true, but for some reason my friends Rsx finds all kinds of shaving in his oil. Why? I don't know, I just gave him those before they went into my old car cause I forgot to get his Christmas present. If he is getting a placebo effect then good for him as long as he doesn't complain... I really don't see how changing your oil cannot draw out those contaminants as well.

I just think that metal shavings are afraid to show up in your car. They wouldn't dare.
