Apparently dogbone straightcut gears (whatever that means)

Is HORRIBLE for DD and they wear quick, u need to double clutch etc..

i am ok w/ having a bad daily but that is just too much.

Not sad at all because i still get to stay in my s2k
Good for you. Out of curiosity, why did the other guy want to trade his Corrado?

Yeah man, I was goign to mention the grind of straight cut gears as a DD. They are harsh as hell and a PITA to drive smooth unless you are really good.

Ok, apparently the gear issue is not an issue.. so i am still thinking about it but less and less now.. Its not about reliability (owned VW's all my life) and i am a Corrado expert but its more of do i want to give up convertible and RWD

Yeah, I was wondering why you talked about "straight cut gears" and "killer sound system" in the same post. The two seem pretty diametrically opposed in purpose.

And that's "dog-BOX" not dogbone.

If you don't know how to fix something like that, I wouldn't go buying it. Because it WILL break.

Congrats on sticking with the S2000. My wife constantly reminds me that all these cars I'm tempted to buy out of nostalgia... really have no purpose or use in my normal life.

If you really want one go for it. You could get a S2000 for less than $15,000 these days so if you don't like it switch back.

Grow a pair and make a decision. You need the opinions of a bunch of strangers on the Internet to make a simple decision?

I'm guessing you guys haven't read the entire thread. Go back to page one, scroll down a bit and read his post about his decision to keep the S2000.
