Lots of brake dust from new OEM pads - normal ?
I have 50,000+ miles on the S2000 and had the front pads replaced with new OEM pads (purchased from hardtopguy.com) and had the front rotors resurfaced. Immediately after the brake job, I noticed excessive brake dust that settled on my wheels after driving, but I assumed it was the new pads just breaking in and didn't think much of it. Now, I've had about 3,000+ miles on them and they are still making lots of brake dust. Also, I noticed that the concentric rings on the front rotors are more pronounced on the front rotors than on the rear rotors (I only had the fronts resurfaced). I'm thinking one is related to the other. Maybe the resurfacing job was bad and therefore is "grating" and hacking up my pads, causing the excessive dust OR maybe the pads are bad and rough and causing the deeper-than-normal (but can't notice it unless you're looking and feeling the rotor) concentric rings on the front rotors.
Is this a common problem with a new pad/rotor job? What is wrong with my situation? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you got MY 04+ pads instead of the earlier version. The new compound pads produce major dustage.
