Default Looking for S2k. Spring time=no good deals?

I'm in the market for a new car and my choices so far are the rsx type-s (for practicality) and the S2k(for fun). I've found a local S2000 for $14200 with 88000 miles on it and I was wondering if it would be hard to bargain down the price since it seems that spring is the best time to sell a roadster convertible. I live in Arizona so the weather is nice right now but its going to get really hot in the next couple of weeks.

The budget I have to play around with is $14000 and I've seen some people mention getting a good deal on an s2k(AP1 with less mileage) for around that price. My friend who was looking for an S before told me that winter is the best time to buy, but unfortunately I only started looking for cars three weeks ago. So my question is: should I buy the car now or wait till later? Are there better deals to be had depending on the season? Thanks.

You might as well buy it now unless you want to wait another 7 or so months until prices start "dropping."

Usually I think the price of the car peaks around summer, but thats just my reasoning...

I suggest that you keep looking. My car had 35k miles less than that vehicle and was cheaper too. I had to drive 250 miles to pick it up but it was worth it. S2000's are probably cheaper in Arizona due to the warmer climate there. If you're able to, consider looking at other states too.

I'm not really in a rush to buy but I don't really want to travel more than 300 miles just to get a car. I'm just wondering how long did it take you guys to find your car? I've only been looking for three weeks and haven't really found anything I want.

Make a lower offer. All they can do is say no.

Its a 2002. Theres another one that im looking at but im afraid of the mileage on it. Here are the links to the cars.

The second one is a one owner car but its got alot of maintenance done from the dealership that I'm worried about. Its looking like I'm going to have to be more patient. I'm still kicking myself for missing a 2000 AP1 with 40k miles on it for $14000. Damn thing sold in less than a day.

Thanks but if I dont find one then I'm just going to be patient. It gets up to triple digit temperatures here in AZ during the summer so theres bound to be some people trying to get rid of their cars. I'm also looking for cars that are pretty much stock, but I guess that describes most owners of s2k's.
