Default Looking for S2000

Hey Guys I need your help and This was the first place I thought of asking ! I recently lost my 2001 s2k in an accident in June. I’m ready to buy another, I’m located in North Carolina and needed to know if any of you knew of any s2000s for sale in the state, with a good price, I was up sold on my first one and won’t be up sold again. So if you guys know of a dealership that isn’t shady and does honest work please let me know Guys , thank you ! I don’t care of the year just that it be at stock as possible and I don’t care for miles as long as it hasn’t been abused!

Sellers -- including "car dealers" -- want as much money for their product as they can get. Asking for a large amount is neither "shady" nor "dishonest," it's how this works. The buyer, though, ultimately sets the price. Buying from a dealer (or flipper) is difficult as they have no emotional attachment to a car you seem to have. They'd kinda like to sell it (and know they will eventually) but you really, really want to buy it.

There are always S2000s for sale here and other places. AutoTrader is one site. Restricting your search to North Carolina is pretty limiting. I'm betting there are places in SC and VA closer than some places in NC.

I agree that if you can go out of state the number of cars from which you can choose will jump exponentially. And, of course, as a rule you'll get a better deal from a private seller than you will from a dealer. I live in Illinois and have purchased cars being sold in Indiana, Florida, and Texas, the last two of which I had shipped home. Another added cost, but worth it IMHO. I've had good luck on CarGurus.com.

I'm in NC and looked for almost 2 years. I had AutoTrader, CarGurus, Autolist and iSeeCars setup with searches for the specific criteria I was looking for within a certain mileage. I missed one in VA last year due to timing but able to get one in September in Raleigh. Cargurus got me the alert before the dealer even had it up on their website. I made arrangements to come see it and they hadn't even cleaned it up yet. It will take some time but depending the mileage you're looking for, the higher mileage ones are to be found. You just need to be ready to go when one pops up as they don't stay available for long. Good luck with the search!

Depending on where in NC you are this might not be too far away.

Got a full size SUV or pickup (or can you borrow one)? You can rent a Uhaul car trailer for about $55/day.

I thought of needing to do that whenever I found the one. However it was about 80 miles and the best part of the whole deal is driving home with the top down for the initial drive. Couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.
