Don't tell any of the G35C owners. They'll tell you it verifies their suspicions about the S2K engine being a squirrel in a squirrel cage.

that is nasty.... check this one out..... not as large or nasty as the one you got..
That's a common yellowthroat, Geothlypis trichas. It's not a hole nester, but it does hang out down low most of the time and was probably poking around for food.

I know, you were dying to know this.

I'll see what I can dig up...

It never ceased to amaze me what some people can stomach. If I find them, I'll post them in my album. I warn you...they are gross and will make you Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of "Kitty's" head in my girlfriend's lap. Just minced up bits of meat and fur in the engine bay.

Seeing all these "animals in air box" posts makes me think of the time "Kitty" decided to climb into the engine bay of my highly modded 82 Z28.

It was a beautiful October evening. My girlfriend and I decided to take a nice sunset ride with the T-Tops offs. We strapped in, I started the car, and all of the sudden...noise like you wouldn't believe! Apparently, my "flex-a-lite" fan got a hold of "Kitty" and proceeded to mince him to shreds. Since I had no clue what was happening, like a dummy I decided to rev the engine. At that point, "Kitty's" decapitated head blew out of the hood (this is how I found out my hood was fiberglass), hit the windshield, bounced into the T-Top opening on the passenger side and onto my girlfriends lap. Needless to say, she never rode in the Z again.

I do have pics of the aftermath(I had to take them for the insurance company...they didn't believe me at first)...but they are way to gross to post. Nothing like a severed cat head to ruin a otherwise romantic evening.

Moral: Keep an eye on your engine bay! Especially if your store you car for extended periods of time. R.I.P. "Kitty"
Damn the clean up must have been a bitch! And yes pics are a must!
