Has anyone ever considered shrink-wrapping a car like we do with boats in the off-season?
How would this be any better then a car cover? Unless you do it to the entire car which seems ridiculous.

I don't have any input on storage but I did want to wish you good luck. May you return safely.

I think everything regarding storage was covered above. Good luck overseas. Remember what the Marines say: "It's not for reasons why but to do or die" over there. Stay safe man.

Oh and you know The Taliban is the former governing body of Afghanistan, not Iraq, right?

If my garage was a little bigger, I'd be getting one of these!

If I were you, I'd consider taking one of our members up on the offer of storage. Check with their regional forum - if that person is known there and respected, it would be a worthwhile strategy to pursue.

That list near the top of the thread was compiled by a friend of mine, OhioRacer. Just note that it was meant for 3-5 months of storage. In your case, things like fuel stabilizers are probably a pretty good idea.

Good luck, both on the car, and your deployment.
