I recall seeing pictures of the gutter somewhere on S2ki, DIY maybe? Do a "search" to find the pictures, maybe it will help you figure out how to fix your problem.

It was funny the first time, with the WTF for putting our friend in the trunk, but it's ran it's course pretty fast.

Damn, even with the search it took a long time to find.
You can try clearing the gutter from the bottom of the car.
