"Limited" production is a relative term
Just saw the model year (through September) production numbers for our car; 7939 for 2001 versus 5267 last year. It annoys me I fell so hard for my dealer's pitch of "5000/year for three years and no more," but I do see value in greater production in the aftermarket. Besides, if you folks keep drive 'em as hard as you have, attrition will keep exclusivity an important reason for ownership.

Well I'm not gonna get too bent out of shape. Chevy is dropping the Camaro because they only sold 48,000 units last year. So 7,300 doesn't look too bad. With low annual numbers like that it is still a limited production car in my mind.

I know I keep comparing this to the NSX, but when that cam out in 1991 they made the most (3163), next year, 1270, next year, 608, 512, 780, 505, 338, 245, etc. Witht the NSX, they actually reduced production after the first year. Now a 91 NSX is still worth $40's!

Sorry, I guess everyone knew about the monthly press release regarding Honda vehicles SOLD IN THE USA. It does not, however, break out sales by color. Check it out under "News" at honda.com.

Limited.. HAHAHAHA
Really nayone who thought that was true needs to read up on life. Did you get it in writing? I asked a dealer to guarantee this "limited" run but they wouldn't do it, upon which I told them to lower the price.
They obliged..
Oh, a '91 NSX isn't exactly worth in the 40's...
In 1997 my roommate almost bought a flawless black '91 NSX with 11,000 miles. I saw it - It looked, felt, and drove like new. It was clean because it never got dirty..
Anyway, He was asking 34K-37K depending on whether the aftermaarket wheels/tires were included in the sale..
All other '91 NSXs my rommate looked at were in the 30s, a few in the high 20s.
I imaging a 1993 or 94 runs about the same now..
This was in Houston Texas.

I smell a dealership conspiracy! My salesman told me that they would only be made in '00 and '01, limited to 10,500. Although I was skeptical, I was hopeful. I agree that as long as we buy 'em, they'll keep makin' 'em.
