i have at least three dings/scratches on my rear bumper. people suck and dont give a shit about your stuff. hell, most of them dont even care about there shit.
i was lucky, some touch up paint and it was liveable.
even when i purposely park totally out of the way, always someone parks right next to me, even when theres spots all over the place.
let me watch someone hit my car and try to drive away. i think i will freak out and go incredible hulk on them.

I was sitting in a mall parking lot once on my motorcycle waiting for someone I was meeting there. I watched some stupid chic back her POS Dodge Intrepid into a nice black Mercedes ML-series SUV. The impact was hard enough that the entire SUV shook about 6" back and forth with the collision. I happened to be on my phone, hung up and immediate took a couple pictures of her up on the SUV and her license plate....She must have been an idiot because she saw me watching this whole thing and then just drove off laughing!
I was about to leave a note on the driver's window with her license plate and my phone number but the owner came out as I was about to drop the note...I showed him the picture and gave him the b*&@*'s plate number. I told him to call me if anyone needed a report. I never got a call but hopefully they bent her over.
The thing with parking lots is they are actually private property and cops sometimes won't even write a report for fender benders in parking lots and if it's a hit and run with no witness of the offender...you get stuck paying your deductible or fixing it yourself.
Reason #1 to park far from the front of stores and hike!

It has nothing to do with the S2000. It's because most drivers are absolute f*&^ing morons and shouldn't have a license when it comes to driving and especially backing out.
One of my neighbors backed into my S a few weeks ago. I was really upset because I left the car at home specifically to avoid the first rain of the season. ****ing bitch had a backhand coming I tell ya...

that sucks man! yea ur gonna have to pay the deductable. USAA might cover it under the underinsured motorist as they did mine. i had my car parked and some fool backed up and left. didnt notice the damage until the next day. at first i payed my $500 deductable and then i got a refund for $250 cause the underinsured deductable was $250. unfotunately this raise my insurance rates by $20 more a month.

90% of people have no idea what they're doing as far as driving goes. Fact.
That sucks that people keep hitting your car. I would be really mad too.
You do have to pay a deductible in your case. If I ever do have to park at my GF's apartment with my S2000, I try to park it against the curb with her car as the car next to me.
I try to avoid trucks, SUVs, or Minivans. The people that drive those vehicles typically are the biggest morons out of the general moron pool. Or maybe they're just A-holes?
Try to park as far away as you can from the general population. Or try to park next to a curb and get as close as you can to the curb. This way...if the person parking by you can ATLEAST park within the lines, they will be pretty far away from you.
But then again...it seems like everyone turns into ralph wiggum the minute they get in the driver's seat. All motor skills and human co-ordination goes away. It gets worse the nearer they get to parking lots.
I drive 100 miles a day and I think most people just let their pet chimpanzee drive while they sit in the back seat and read a paper or something.
Thank God I have a DD.
