Question Lightning struck twice!

Some people just need to learn to look back when they are backing out Some idiot that parked next to me must have forgotten I was their when they were backing out and hit my quarter panel and of course no note. The same thing happened to me earlier this year and I had to pay my $500.00 deducible ($1,766 is what it cost my insurance). Has this happened to any one else? Is it because our cars are low? I feel like I need to put a one of those high cones next to me when ever I park. I can't afford to dish out another $500.00 to get it fixed so I'm going to have to live with it for now...urrr

If I recall correctly hit and runs were always 0 deductible... This happened to my van when a large vehicle hit it and the insurance company fixed it at no cost (They only required a police report).

That is what I thought but I'm going through this now on a different car and they (State Farm) want my deductible.

Anyone have more info on this?

I believe you need to know the lic plate# of the car to qualify for Uninsured Motorist ....

For hit and run, if everyone claims you got hit and run and file a police report, then no body is going to pay the deductable right?
so I would think insurance company would make you to pay for hit and run deductable unless you got their plates ....

Feel bad for your car ... i hate these hit and run fxxker...

hit and run without a description of the offender- you have to pay your deductible.
hit and run with a description and witnesses- pay deductible and you could get it reimbursed
hit and run while driving with no description= 1 point on your record
hit and run while parked= 0 points on your record

i have AAA and thats the rules we go by

How similar was the damage of the previous incident? That sounds like a lot of cash for some minor damage.

The damage was almost identical from the first time. Damage to the drivers side rear quarter panel and bumper by the wheel well. This is a pic from the first incident but I had buffed out most of the scratches. It's hard to tell but the quarter panel is bent. Most peole say they do not notice it but the damage is always the first thing that catches my eye.

I have USAA and they told me I would have to pay my deductible. If I would have seen the Mo Fo it would be a different story.

It has nothing to do with the S2000. It's because most drivers are absolute f*&^ing morons and shouldn't have a license when it comes to driving and especially backing out.

Best answer.

Sucks about your car man. I'd be fuming too.
