Life without Vtec
Life without Vtec pretty much sucks, but there are a couple of questions that have crossed my mine recently since I have to break in a new engine again...
1) What kind of numbers would we expect from our cars if we pushed it all the way to just before Vtec engages? (It would be interesting to see what kind of cars the S2000 would beat 0-60mph or quartermile if we only reved to 5900 rpms.)
2) How many miles did you wait before you Vtec ed your car for the first time?
I personally have not tried the 1st yet, but currently I have 810 miles on this motor without going past 5300 rpms yet. Since it is my second engine, I want to wait a little longer before I vtec to see if it would break in the engine better which will hopefully yield better dyno numbers than before.
