I *love* Dromo 1, been there twice to race with my father, and it's always fun. It would be great fun to go with other S2K people. Speedzone is cool, I remember liking the Grand Prix stuff but yeah I think it is hard on your wallet if you're looking for good bang-for-the-buck like Dromo 1 is.
I'd say, yes I'm in for the 28th, but I believe some Pasadena people are doing a get together that day which I would like to attend. What about the 29th?
Also how many people can go on the track at once? I seem to remember 8 people or something like that. And one more warning, it only opens at 1pm every day, so a session before and after lunch would have to mean a later lunch than usual. (IMO, who cares, but still something to think about)
Let's get a head count and make reservations!

O.k., who wants to organize? I know of 4-5 other folks (Honda, but non-S2K) that would like to go too. I just realized I have another event on the 29th, so the 28th is the only day available for me.
They do up to 10 cars on the track at a time, so if we have more than 10 (which it sounds like we might), the we could do 2 heats, with the top half finishers from the first two heats competing in a second race for a prize. The bottom half finishers could do the consolation round :-).
If we arrive by about 12:30, we can get in line and start quickly when it opens at 1:00 pm. Be done running the heats by 2:00-2:30 and then schedule to run again 45 minutes later. Great way to spend $40.00.
