Default Leather Dye/repair

Anyone know where I can get "touch-up" leather dye for the my red seats? Evidently my fat ass is causing a small wear spot on the outer drivers side seat bolster. I checked some leather repair sites online but nobody shows red in the Honda/Acura interior color charts.

I am looking around S2KI for the "Fat-Ass Forum" for more focused help but looks like we don't have one. And yes I do remove my wallet before entering the vehicle... not that there is enough of anything in it to cause this problem.

Why don't you try a felt tip pen and leather conditioner afterwards - it might work?

Send a pm to "2002s2k". His name is Sean and he works at a leather specialty company. I think they have developed a red dye for our seats.

Leatherique makes great kits for that.

You may also consider switching to the 04 seat pan, it had an additional wireframe in the outside bolster, although if you are stretching the limits already it may no be comfy.

I have a quarter sized hole on the drivers seat side bolster. I wear shorts all the time and the velcro flap on the cargo pocket wore thru. I'm having both seats recovered in the cloth material found in Miatas. Honda leather is very cheap, and is hot to sit during summer, doesn't hold you in place during hard corners, cold in winter. Plus you get the privledge of treating the leather all the time, what a PITA. With cloth you steam clean them once in awhile and your good to go.

I have just started to look into this and materials and labor are varied. Materials are easy to source but quality labor is difficult to book. Most are booked well into the future. I will post total cost and pictures when the project is complete.

Been up at Infineon for the ALMS for a coupla days so just looking at this. Thanks everyone for the suggestions (felt tip pen?.....Hmmmmmm). I got an answer back from my inquiry to "Mend Masters" which seeems to cover a lot of interior colors but basically "sorry" on our red.

I've had my seats redone in black/rainbow Louis Vuitton Leather on the inserts and had the other leather changed also. then new leather is so much softer and feels nicer compared to the stock leather. i also had the doors insert redone. material and labor cost me around 800.
