Default Leaky Soft Top

I just got my s2k last week. We had some very heavy rainy weather here in the northeast and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing and issues with the soft tops on the 06's. Its leaking on both passenger and drivers side right by the top portin by the window. (not the window) it seems that there is a crease there and some water is makeing its way in. Its not the top itself but the rubber portion that is supposed to keep water out can you believe that !

My question is is it covered under warranty ? Im am leasing the vehicle not sure if that makes a differnece.

thanks all

Actually it's very unusual for the top to leak. The dealer should fix it under warranty.

My 06 had been raining on a few times and no leak. Lease car have warrantee just like regular buyer do. Let them fix it for free.

My 05 S had the exact same problem on the driver's side. Water was leaking in from the upper corner where the window meets the rubber. Take it to the dealership. They'll fix it under warranty. They should be able to replace some of the rubber bits to remedy the problem. Good luck.

I called my salesman and told him what was going on. I asked him if it was something that was common and he said no. He did say to bring it in asap and they will fix it for me so it was good news as it is warranty'd . I love this car so much I would hate to have something like that hamper it.

Thanks for the kind responses everyone.

My top does this on my 02. It sucks. Both sides... It leaks pretty bad too.
