dumb question but the light only blinks when the car is off right? I'm assuming when the car is running theres no lights on/blinking?

To further that question, what exactly shuts it off? Key in ignition but not turned? Key turned to accessory? Key turned to full "on"? Car actually fired up? Also, how fast does it blink? I'd like to pick one up but not if it flashes rapidly. It would also be nice if simply putting the key in the ignition would shut it off. Key in and turned to ACC would be less good but still OK. Having to turn the ignition all the way on or actually starting the car would be deal breakers for me. I'll buy one if it meets those requirements.

That would be correct. The light only blinks when the car is off. It turns on when you shut the car off and back off when you turn the car on.

Hmmm, that's a bummer then. I think I'll have to pass for now. I'd actually really like to get one but I don't want to have to leave the ignition on to keep it from flashing in my face when I'm just sitting in the car. Oh well. Thanks for the info!

This is a great mod! It works so well, that my teenage son noticed it while he was coming in the house and commented "Dad, there's a light flashing on your dash and I was afraid to touch your car. I thought the alarm might go off"

Thanks Joe!
