WOW! Thanks for the excellent and very informative feedback guys!
Just a question though. Why would one need to order 245's instead of 225's for the rear? And I would more than likely order the "V" rated ones so they would last longer. Hopefully 30K miles. I don't drive all too agressive very often.

The stock 225s on the S2000 have as wide of a footprint on the ground as many 235s and even some 245s (like the 712s). So, to get the same footprint as your stock S-02s, you need to upsize the 712s to 245s in the rear.

Okay I got it now. I understand. Just trying to deep the same size contact patch.
Would have have to get 245/45's. Crap! Those don't come in "V" rated.
What other tires could I get that cost less than the S02's that I wouldn't have to get in a different size?
How about the Pirelli P7000 Supersports? They're only $95 for the 225/50's and they have a 320 tread rating.

True.
I think I'll just wait anyway. I'm kind of getting ahead of myself here with a brand new set of S02's coming at me in a week or so.
Thanks for all the help and info guys. You've been patient with my ignorance and I appreciate it.
