KN Gen2 FIPK is the real deal!
I am really happy the potential buyer backed out. I decided to just install the intake and wow!
The sound is obviously more aggressive but the thing i am most impressed with is the throttle response and being in vtec a hell of a lot more. The butt dyno approves.
You have to work less to be in vtec, which means a lot of fun! This car is so far 150% more mod friendly compared to my 2003 350z which needed nothing short of forced induction to make any noticable gains.
This car rocks
Next up T1R 70mm single outlet and PSS Bilstein in the spring.

I think your smoking crack if you think the s2k is more mod friendly then a 350z.
I eventually strapped on a 150 wet shot and was able to run 13.11 @ 110mph. My opinion as a previous owner is that the 350z/g35 is a pig touring car unless you have deep pockets for forced induction and tuning. The engine can be worked with no doubt!
The best non forced induction mod for the vq series is ecu and tuning. otherwise, spend the money on ice and 20" wheels for flossing.
I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the car. Sorry.
but the s2000 rocks!

I want to apologize if i offended any fans of the 350z. This thread was really about the kick ass KN intake and admiration of the s2000.
The 350z def has merits and at a base of $26 its a hard car to dismiss. there is prob 3 times the number of aftermarket support for the car but they dont do much per performance unless its coupled with forced induction.
As a previous owner it was just a warning for your expectations.
the s2000 rocks! i am so happy with my baby.

It's hard to tell from the angle of your picture, but will the airbox interfere with a strut brace? It kinda looks like it protrudes a bit far back towards the shock towers. Not a huge deal, just curious
