I'm browsing the transportation section at Barnes and Noble and glancing through the KBB pricing guide, I noticed something quite peculiar. The current guide for the October-December 2009 period had the 2002 valued at 11,450(private party) and the previous quarter's KBB pricing guide for the period June-September 2009 had the car valued at 11,050(private party)????I'm beginning to think i may have confused the values listed, can anyone else confirm this?

Are prices trending upwards???

You could have misread it, or maybe they are going up but I doubt it. Not like a 2002 S2000 with good mileage will sell for $11K anyway.

i would buy an 02 with low mileage(under 75k) for 11k...

This is the current online KBB value for a 2002 private party with 33,333 miles:

Condition Value

Excellent $12,975
Good $12,175
Fair $11,200

Which is obviously different than what you are seeing in the book. I did a ton of KBB searches over the last 2 months while shopping, and I'm pretty sure the 02s with low miles have been at these prices the entire time.
