K&N FIPK Installation
Bought K&N FIPK today and just took a look at the installation guide. I read a lot of threads after searching and it seems like it was very straightforward for most ppl (seems like the average was 2.5 hours to install). I just realized how much car terminology I lacked lol. It says things like on vehicles equipped with air temperature sensor/air injection pump/air control solenoid...
Does s2k (my 04) have those? or it varies depending on the model. I don't think we have air temperature sensor since it requires drilling and stuff if we do.
I plan to bring this to a friend on Sat to get help but I'm worried a bit because he was surprised after I told him it might take 2~3 hours to install. He never installed anything like this i guess but he does know about car stuff. Hope everything will be fine with installation.

Thank you all for the help. So basically there is no air temperature sensor so I can skip that section. I don't even really know what exactly air injection pump/air control solenoid is, and reason I'm struggling is due to my lack of understanding the car parts and black and white pic not being too clear to me.
Btw, could anyone provide me some websites where I can start learning from basic stuff about mechanics? I know too little and one of my friends keep telling me "dude how the **** u have an s2k." lol I really wanna start learning some structure and terminology and how a car works.

it is a basic install, rather than some sort of complex project. you take stuff off/apart and install new stuff. when you disconnect a hose or wire you can reconnect it without any problems, as long as it does not contain water(just follow it from the radiator to confirm prior to taking off). what i am getting at is pay attention to the details of everything you disconnect, carefully, in that way if there is a problem you can just reconnect it.
this is basically an intake tube that connects to the motor, with an air filter at the other end. in the middle there are a few hoses and wires you have to make sure go from the stock setup to the new one. add a few hold down bolts and screws and you are finished.
best of luck. pull up some reference photos from some site first so that you can compare to what you are doing.
