Wow, 5 secs 0-60?! O.k, now I am ready to do this mod... I am no mechanic when it comes to modding my cars I pay professionals. So.... Buckwheat.... How much did the whole thing cost you? Parts and labor??

wait till you catch 2nd gear!
If you use your existing diff this can be done for about 1000 dollars maybe a little more or less depending on the install price. This is if you use your existing diff. I bought a used diff so I now have an extra. Actually I have two extra diffs. but thats another story parts are around 600 plus shipping and a complete install at a local garage is anywhere from 300 to 600 dollars. If ya send it to Ganley it is $? I can't remember I think around 400 but you have to remove the diff and install it yourself. The advantage of going to Ganley is your getting an expert install. But if ya only have one diff you will have some down time.

In fact, a turbo with "gears" may be nearly unmanageable with 4.77's unless you exercise much care.

xviper thanks for clearing that up. back when i was looking for a tranny to mate up to the h22a in my accord, people were telling me that if you are staying N/A, then mate it up with the prelude vtec tranny(shorter gear ratio). if i wanted to turbo, i should go with the prelude si tranny(longer gear ratio) in order to stay in boost without changing gears too often.

I love the 4.77's, unfortunately, my car doesn't feel all that fast since I got an '04 STi, but this car certainly is more fun to drive. The acceleration is much better and I will enjoy it even more after getting forced induction!
