I'd be glad to run next to you and see which is faster, my stock S2000 vs your S2000 with CAI. Unless you are FI, your stock intake is more than adequte. Besides, with CAI, you are risking your car for hydrolock. CAI is CAI, it will make little of no difference to actual numbers.

Turbo cars on the other hand benefits from less restrictive intake and turboback exhausts. Difference is night and day. But S2000 stock intake already utilizes high-flow cone filter and the inlet sits close to front.

Bottom line, I dare to say this, CAI is waste of money. I'd rather spend that money in HPDE event of autox events and become a better driver. So easy to get sucked into go fast straight crack pipe regardless of what kind of car you drive.
I don't think you understand how modern engines work. Modifying the intake can definitely affect power. More, denser air + more fuel = better combustion = more power. Would you argue that FI doesn't work??? FI is basically more, denser air......
try running your car at 40 deg and at 120 deg.....at sea level and in Colorado.......
you'll surely notice a difference.

Now whether this particular intake will prove gains for any one particular vehicle.....well who knows, but on the average there should be gains.

there is a noticeable torque increase in the 3.5k rpm area (right where you need it for daily driving) and when it's cold out there is a DEFINITE increase in power since you aren't sucking hot underhood air.

btw, people discredit the aem dyno because the the hood was open? umm, it's a true cold air intake. it's going to be pulling in ambient temp air anyway, so whether or not the hood was open is totally irrelevant.

I agree with the noticeable increase in torque around 3,500 rpm... but aside from that I'm sure the actual gains are minimal
