I'm almost ready to get a V2 not for the HP gain or the sound. My 04 bogs baddly anytime I sit at a light for any significant amount of time. This behavior infuriates me to no end and I'm willing to spend several hundred to fix this. Will the V2 eliminate heat bog?

snorkel install

Muz air intake extension
395 aud which is under 300usd i think

which is the same design as the

Spoon air duct
466 usd

you dont have to really cut for the snorkel install

i think im going with a snorkel and a comptech high flow air filter
59shipped at ricks2k.com

the snorkel will get rid of the bog, just another option

What kind of cutting do you need when you get AEM installed? You made me want one too

This is my next mod, for sure. I would have purchased one today if I could find one in stock locally. I guess I'll have to order one online and install it myself when it arrives.

I've had 3 AEM V1's now (Civic, RSX-S, '01 S2000) and I loved the sound they all produced. Can't wait to see what this V2 is all about

i'm sure the 04 s2k's will gain more power from intake/exhaust since it has that little extra .2 liters

If you do a search in the Under the Hood section there should be pictures of what gets cut. Its just the plastic fenderwall lining. There is a significant amount of cutting ... I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel which helped to speed along the process quite a bit. Its also best to cut small sections at a time and then see how much more needs to be cut ... that way you get a tight fit on the intake.

AEM v2 definitely adds a sweet sound to the S2000. At WOT, there's a real nice deep bass sound between ~2500-3500rpms or so, and then it growls up to VTEC where it just starts screaming ... But if you're not at WOT, then the sound is virtually stock, no extra sound. It does whistle quite a bit at idle though, so if you're sensitive to that kindof thing it might bother you.

I didn't notice any performance gain except with throttle response.

I've had my V2 on for about 3 months with my Invidia exhaust and its one of the best sounding S2000's I've heard. Very good setup together, just the Invidia exhaust gets a little loud sometimes.
