no need to take out the fan to install the intake.. but glad to hear you like it! i love mine!
No, you are right. No real need. It was just easier to remove the fan, than try to fight the tube and risk scratching up my new shiny intake.

glad you enjoy the miniscule hp increase the sound is quite nice, I must say. Like an F1 racecar shrill...
Would you realy call 8 hp to the wheels miniscule? For the $250 it cost, I'll do it all day long. Plus, I really think you can feel it. Some people have droppped into high 13's with just this intake. Not to mention throttle response in better.

i doubt if it gave THAT much power
i didnt notice any power gain with mine to be honest but mine is 2nd gen of regular AEM CAI but still should be identical
there is better throttle response but definately not a significant power gain i think it is better for that sounds while it is on VTEC....
just my opinion...

I agree, the sound can be deceiving to fool you into thinking its faster, but 8hp is 8hp. Check it out here.http://www.aempower.com/pdf/dyno/24-...%20Numbers.pdf

is this the one that you cut a hole behind the front bumper?

did you dyno it? how do you know it's 8hp to the wheel?

Yea. you gotta slice and dice... the dyno figures are on aempower.com. Go to the intake section, look up s2000 v2 and slick on the little graph next to the part number. My link didnt work for some reason.

Those numbers obviously can vary from S2000 to S2000. On vtec.net, they dyno tested an '00 and only made 1.8hp. For a car that's already so potent from the factory in N/A form, I wouldn't expect too much from an intake other than the feeling you get from the "butt dyno."

I'm almost ready to get a V2 not for the HP gain or the sound. My 04 bogs baddly anytime I sit at a light for any significant amount of time. This behavior infuriates me to no end and I'm willing to spend several hundred to fix this. Will the V2 eliminate heat bog?
