For the Hondata reflash, just go to their website and they have a list of vendors. One of them is an Acura dealer in So Cal! I beleive South Bay Acura. I spoke to them and they said they have no problem taking care of it for me.

I would like to do it soon.
Let me know how that works out at Acura South Bay. They aren't too far away from me and I was thinking about making the transaction at their location.

Where you going to bring them your current ECU to send out? Or, leave the car there, for them to remove, send out, and re-install the ECU?

Thanks,

Mike

Just wondering... there's a lot of people on here that just remove the top lid of the stock air-box and people always complain about how it draws too much heat but still sound great... why wouldn't you just do that instead? The K&N FIPK is pretty much the same thing. Pretty much same location on the stock airbox and the top part is not there... therefore drawing in hot air from the engine bay.

Yes and no...

The top of the K&n unit has a foam insulatiom about 1/8" thick that makes a seal around the intake with the underside of the hood.

With the hood shut it completes the air induction chamber and keeps heat soak to a minimum.

And where is it drawing the cold air from? Is it coming from the hole behind the right headlight?

To OP... could you post up pictures so I can see what it looks like?

The K&N is also dyno-proven from the manufacturer...

Does anyone know if there are issues with this intake on a car with a vented hood (I have the Seibon Invader hood). I have been wanting to pick one of these up due to the price and sound difference vs the comptech but don't know if I will run into issues with the invader hood...

Does anyone have this intake sucking in water with the seibon invader hood?

The hood shut makes the seal with the walls surounding the intake...

Sounds BADASS at WOT.

Near the shock support, it looks like there's an opening there. And the amount of CFM that an intake sucks in, I'm sure there's a lot of hot air that gets sucked in through there. I could be wrong though... clarify please cause I'm interested. Not a big fan of the AEM V2 due to issues people have had with hydro-lock.

I took my lid off to test it out and you definitely can tell you loosing power. But with the K&N Air Charger I cannot feel I lost any power due to heat soak. And it sound bad ass in the upper RPM.
