[QUOTE=The_Mendii,May 3 2009, 06:23 AM] TOTALLY AGREE!
I regularly cruise at 120mph, and every now and then when traffic is light early in the morning, I have gotten her to hold easy at 140mph.

Artric:
My drive is about 60-70km (35-40 miles). Of that, 90% are on the autobahn, and most are good downhills on the way TO work. Sure makes for a brisk wakeup when you put the top down at 6am and floor it =). On a quiet morning, hauling ass, I can make it door-to-door in under 25 minutes. Normal drive in my Jeep takes a fair 40 minutes (traffic included) I was watching a documentary on the roads over here, and discovered why I never have to slow down around corners - the roads are built to allow you to take corners at speed, and most of the ones on my route to work are exactly like that. Hella FUN!
Still get smoked by R8s and most Porsches and Audi station wagons, however. Still fun to try and keep up with them.
You are right - the cost of a license and time involved are mind-blowing over here. THOUSANDS of EURO and years of training required.
