I just received my order conformation for my new 2001 Spa Yellow S2000!
Delivery is set for February!
Ordered from Roberts Honda in Downingtown, PA. I bought my last car '97 Milano Red delSol VTEC from them.
Just moved from Downingtown, PA to Leesburg, VA, went to Leesburg Honda this weekend, left pissed off after talking to the salesman. They claim they don't gouge their customers, and sell for sticker, but they won't take orders, and won't let you buy an S2K (Or an Odyssey either) without having tons of overpriced dealer add-ons. Also, the salesman had an attitude. So, avoid Leesburg Honda.
So, now I have to sell my Sol for my S2k..I say its a fair price...

how fast was the del sol stock? How fast could you make it with bolt on?

The delSol VTEC I have has the B16A2 ..- 1.6L DOHC VTEC, has 160hp@7600rpm, and 111lb foot @7000rpm
Its pretty much the same engine(or it is the same) engine as your 00 SI. Although, I think the new SI is lighter than the Sol, supposidely they have very similar performance #'s. I do remember that 0-60 was around 7 seconds, and top speed was in the 130's.
They do have some bolt-ons, but won't get you much because of the OBD-2.
Plus, there wasn't much available as bolt ons for the VTEC model last time I checked.
The Jackson racing supercharger is pretty good. I have a friend with one on a 97 Civic EX, and he says it definitely makes a difference.
BTW, it is a fun motor to drive..for a 1.6 liter.

This can't be... My Spa Yellow is coming in through Roberts Honda as well. I worked with Dave Cutler. How about you? My S2000 is due in two weeks. Welcome to the area. A good friend of mine just bought a house in Leesburg and will be moving out there with his new bride next month.

Thanks, small world isn't it? I delt with Charlie Arayata, he was involved with my delSol purchase in 97. He told me about your car (Yellow, sold) , then there's a black one that's to be delivered in December (its not sold yet) and there is a silver (no interior color yet, also not sold) that's scheduled for March/April. And of course my yellow. He'll be contacting me with a VIN# in December.

 

just got off the phone with my dealership. Still no dilevery date. Spoke with the Floor manager and the sales person, both are confident that it should be here before december. We'll see. The build date was last week october 23rd. They have no ship date yet. DAmn damn damn
